Online Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety doesn't always look the way people expect. You might get everything done and still lie awake running through your to-do list. You might feel tense all day, avoid things that used to feel easy, or brace for the worst.
Anxiety therapy helps you understand what's driving that worry and what keeps it going. Depending on your needs, your clinician may draw on approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which looks at the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions; dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills; acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT); and mindfulness. When anxiety is connected to past experiences, therapy can also make room to work through them.
How therapy can help
- Understand what sets off your anxiety and what keeps it going
- Learn practical ways to calm your body and step out of worry
- Set boundaries and make decisions with less second-guessing
- Work on deeper experiences that may be feeding your anxiety
What to expect
- Getting to know you: You and your clinician talk about what you're experiencing, your history, and your goals.
- Building a plan: Together, you decide what to focus on and which approaches fit you best.
- Practicing skills: You try tools in session and bring them into your daily life.
- Reviewing: You check in on what has changed and adjust the plan as needed.
Sessions take place by secure video. You'll need a private space and a stable internet connection.
